Reflection Section - Wananga

Hello Everyone!

Today is another day for my weekly reflection blog post in wananga, this time I have decided to reflect on a movie I watched on my Health subject.

Yes I know I usually reflect on the anime I have watched. But I thought why not reflect on something involving learning and school.

Text title: What was the movie "The half of it" trying to tell us?

Text type: Movie

Text creator: Alice Wu

Text purpose: Proclaiming the motives of the director or creator by discovering the message of which they are trying to portray.

The movie 'The half of it' is about a girl named Ellie mainly I guess I should say, she is the main character. She earns money by doing everyone else's homework, possibly around $20 or more. But one day a boy her age asked her something that she has never done, and is probably the only thing she isn't smart with. A boy named Paul asked her to help him write a letter for the popular girl. Named Aster, the twist to it is that Ellie also likes Aster but won't admit it. Ellie writes the letters for Paul in poetic ways. Aster receives them thinking it's from Paul which as you know is actually from Ellie. Over-time Ellie's feelings become deeper for Aster. In the end, Paul ends up liking Ellie. Because he realized that he is happier and comfortable with Ellie. Ellie kisses Aster, and Ellie finally actually gets to do what she wants. So she goes to her dream college.
