The Schools in Japan

In Japan when it is your first year of Elementery school it will be the year you will be turning six you will have toning April. Elementary and Middle school is compulsory but most students in Japan go up to High School back then students Ghan to go to school 6 days a week and there were even after school studying classes to go to. You would have to go to school 6 and a half hours a dream ay but now Sunday and Saturdays are free meaning you don't have to go to school on Saturday. In your first year of Elementary school you will notice that there are usually about 30 to 40 students in one class, over the 6 years of going to Elementrary schools the subjects you will learn. Are Japanese, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Music, Crafts, Physical Education, Home Economics (To learn cooking and cleaning). But now more Elementary schools are starting to teach English too and also learning about technology and more schools are enhancing school education with technology.

In Japan Elementary schools will normally be separated into small groups for learning how to do group activities. It's actually funny because one of the activities they would that would probably help the teachers a lot is cleaning the yard or picking up rubbish and etc. In Japan you don't have to bring lunch or anything because the school will prepare it for you or a local store how kind is that, most schools normally don't need you to pay. The food they are given is very nutritious and healthy to eat so it is not what you want to eat, there are many school events like sports day and some things that New Zealand also celebrates. Most schools ahead to wear uniform but their uniform is very nice and cute but I am not saying that our schools uniform is not nice. And there are a lot of clubs to join in Japan schools.

Passion project blogpost

I finally finished three stone sculptures! I am super proud that I have finishe three sculptures in 5 or 6 weeks when this was my first time doing it. Today I am making a blogpost about my ratings throughout the stone carving sessions. In those sessions I have accomplished some goals that I have set, Well I could'nt really say set myself because Mr Mitchell showed us how to do everything. No you must be wondering what were those goals that I have accomplished, if you don't care about it I will still share them with you. One of them is knowing how to curve the edges It was fun but I was so confused at the start until Mr Mitchell and Mr Palmer showed us how to do it. I was asking myself so many questions like how can this block of stone into a Koru I was not sure with the teachers instructions but I just trusted the ta hers and he process. I also learnt what the names of different tools are like a cheese grater, Chisel, rasp, mallet and much more.

My favourite part throughout all the stone carving session were obviously the hands on things like carving the stone itself or learning new thing about stone carving. but I actually liked it equally with researching it was easy since we only had to research about basic things. Also one researching session we got to use paint and create things also using modelling clay and fabric. The first time we did researching we just had to do some drawings or find some more maori designs.

The things that were challenging were trying to understand that process and staying positive if I broke my stone.

If I needed to improve I would rather learn more about carving and before Inwould do it again so I have more experience.

My final comments for this time of passion project is that I was amazing and so fun I would define try try it again and I recommend you try it to.

Cyber smart Reflection ^-^

This year was only my second or third year of doing Cyber Smart, I wasn't here part of term one but I do have some memories of part of it. In Term 1, we focused on being a smart learner during those days I have learnt not to share personal information and private information. Like sharing your home address and passwords for specific things. I also learnt how to make unique passwords so you won't get hacked and the important people you should know your passwords like parents YOU and a caregiver you trust. We also did a digital dig if you don't know what it is it's like an activity where you have to discover shortcut in your computer or Chromebook. One of the lessons in Term 1 is catfish its about who is the photo if you post something make sure you ask permission or you know who the photo is from.

In Term 2, We focused on Smart footprint, I learnt how easy it is to find someone's information with social media the network and other things based on devices with their smart footprint.

In Term 3, we learnt about Smart relationships, like who are you friends with on the internet who do you talk to. Also to be positive and use your words wisely.

In Term 4, We focused on being a smart User I learnt about how Google can find the documents of what you are searching for and if you are using the right words for searching. Also on this topic, we got to join the Summer Learning Journey.

My favourite thing in Cybersmarts this year was learning about the new things and learning about scratch and about private information.

Something I didn't enjoy was nothing actually everything was really fun.

Something Miss Morgan did well was teaching us and finding different and unique ways to teach us, she showed us new things and got us to learn more.

Something she should do better nothing she was absolutely great in teaching us sometimes she wasn't here so our form teachers took over and it was like they were Miss Morgan.
