Stone Sculpturing Art Blog#2

Today in our passion project we finally finished our small model of our Koru and at the moment we thought we were done and going to move onto our larger project. We had to create something related to "Hei Matau" I wasn't very successful in the shape. It turned out with one side being really long and thin and the other side being thick and short, I wasn't really proud of it "yet" but I kept working with it. The was our on-hand things then we were up to research not so fun stuff but also it was fun since most of was drawing and figuring out what we would want on our big sculpture. I had also finished my design on the piece of paper I finished writing how I wanted it to be and what the meanings of it are I found something on the web. But modifying it with different kinds of things depending on the size of the block we are provided with, The things were adding a Koru onto it and the Manaia. A koru is part of New Zealand's native plant the Fern, and the Manaia is a Maori known mythical creature. Please comment if you know anything about carving stones or if there is more I could add :)
