Hazards and signs - Creative Manufacturing

What is the meaning of hazard:
The meaning of hazard commonly means when you are in danger or at risk, for example, you visit a cave there will mostly be a sign there saying "hazard". Because you may be at risk inside as the cause of natural disasters. Because the worst place to be when there is an earthquake is in a cave. But it really depends on how stable it is. Or there might be a sign near a dangerous machine saying "Hazard" once again. Because you never know if you are risking your life near it because you might think you know what you are doing.


1. Mandatory
You will most likely see these kinds of signs on the road, for example, a mandatory sign is there to keep everyone in order when driving.  Like if there is traffic these signs are there to tell you what to do, Sometime you will see this in workshops. For example, there will be a sign asking you to wear a face shield. unlike all the other signs a mandatory sign is to tell you what to do rather than tell you what not to do.

2. Hazard
A hazard sign is there to warn you about hazardous materials, radioactivity and so on, most of the symbols are really obvious on what they are warning you about. You will mostly see these signs where it is dangerous like construction sites, or workshops. If people have common sense they have to follow these signs and be cautious. Because it can risk lives.



3. Prohibited
Thes kind of signs is where they tell what you are not allowed to do, generally things you cant use and the kind of people. A prohibited sign normally has a black symbol inside of a red circle and a red angular line right across it. mostly you will see a cigarette symbol, that would obviously mean no smoking.

High Jump Technique -

Fosbury Flop:

1. Land with your arm and your feet facing up, make sure to land on your back.

2. Before jumping over the bar make sure you lift off on 1 foot.

3. When you leave the ground you must spin around on the foot depending on your choice. (Left or right), and use your knee to turn.

Long jump -

1. Run up is 21 steps.
2. Take off will be from the second marker.
3. The land will be measured from the back of the foot.
4. Land with both feet together.
5. If you are over the second marker when you jump it is a foul jump.

What subject would you want to learn?

Everyday when you go to school it's the usual you attend your boring ordinary subjects for example Maths,Science etc. But what if you got to pick anything you wanted to learn in school whatever is your passion. Things maybe like horse riding all the things that aren't normal to be taught in public school. 

Well for me I would choose pottery, although it's not something that professional or like something your parents usually expect you to work as. It's not something like engineering, or being a doctor, and things like that. Based on my opinion I feel I like things artsy not the basics like drawing since I am terrible at that. I like things more unique for an example pottery, since it's something you have to keep trying with. Because in pottery you can never get it the first time unless a miracle had hit you. The first time I tried pottery is when I got the toy version as I could say. It included the whole kit, I had to read the instructions over and over again just to know exactly how to do it. When got in contact with it with my hands it went everywhere, although it made a huge mess it was so much fun. I want to learn how to get better and make things useful like pots, teapots and things like that. 

Once I get better I want to create more things and be a professional in pottery, it's something you can get money for not just to sell it but also just for display. I still have other dream jobs that are beyond this but this is going to be one of my side jobs. But pottery is one thing that I would love to learn in school.

Kindness Banner

In week 4 in CIP for the  cool to be kind group we were planning to make a kindness banner so we can put it around the Kahui's. The first thing we needed to was to find a group of 4 and in that group it had to be a combination of different classes like 2 from Al and 2 from Bh. I was with Lhysette from AL, Chloe from Bh, and Danielle from Tz. The reason why we made the banners to spread awareness and remind the people in the school that  kindness is a good thing. We have to plan what we are going to write so we can put it on the big paper. Me and my group chose the message called "One Kind Word Can Change Someone Entire Day". We also planned what design we would use, we all end up putting a flower border in the edge. We also planned to use water colors for the letters. It took us about 2 days to paint it because there's a a lot of flowers and also some letters, but we tried our best to finish it as fast as possible. What I found difficult is when some of our members are gone because they have to go to others activities like the "Gym Sports" and Singing. I was really proud of my group because we finished at the right time, and that's because we help each other a lot.

Composing a song!

Hello everyone, A few weeks ago our teacher gave us a exciting and interesting task. At first we thought it was going to be hard since our teachers did not actually mention what it was. They were saying to keep striving through it and don't give up, that got us nervous at first. Until, our teachers told us what it was and it was to compose a song! I was so excited to do it since I really loved listening to music, I thought I would now exactly what I was going to do. But I assumed way to fast and was thoroughly thinking it through, so when we had to start writing I completely forgot everything I was going to put down. It took me about 2 - 3 minutes to process and think of something all over again, since I liked to listen to music that was aesthetic or things about the reality that was my inspiration. My idea's came from a bit of having no friends and from people coming and going from me since I had no friends. The song was about how I was lonely when I had no friends and also how when you have no friends people keep coming and going. Since they don't have all their time for you because they have other better friends. It was about me thinking I'm always doing the best for them thinking I finally got a BFF, but they just left me behind. Luckily those days are over and I have the most be of friends that are always there for me and I am very thankful for that.

Music through the decade!

Today I had been finishing off my presentation this present ion was about the music through the decades. My favourite is 2010 since this are the kind of music I like and there are stil famous tile now which is really cool. I enjoyed doing this because I was able to learn more about older music.

Elderly Day Care Visit

Last week in week 6 my friends and I also a few other students got the opportunity to visit the Hornby Elderly Day Care. The teacher who was in charge was Miss Tozer, before going we needed to grab something that we would like to share with the elders. I brought my phone since I wanted to share how it was like using this kind of phone since it was different from what they used to use. I also had a few pictures of my friends and me to share even some of my siblings.  was surprised that we had to walk since it was so close to our school. When we first arrived there was already an elder there she approached us with a warm ¨Hi" and she was very kind.  Once we went in at first it was very awkward I had no idea what to since it was my first time. But when it was morning tea for them we had to sit with them at the table, there were separate tables and there need to be two-three students. I was able to meet this wonderful lady named Barb she was a bit forgetful and sometimes I needed to repeat things, but I understood. We had a lovely conversation and I showed her a few pictures, then there was a ball coming around and on the ball, there were questions that we had to answer and share with the table. After we said our goodbyes and left it was a wonderful time for me and I would really like to go again. Please give me feedback n what you thought and if you would like to go to elderly daycare too.
