Science Roadshow 2018 T4

Wednesday 28th of November which is today had an amazing event to experience it was the Science Roadshow the event was only pulled for the year 7's at HHS. We had a payment of eight dollars but we were lucky enough that the school provided 6 dollars so we only had to pay 2 dollars. This event was held in the learning street where all the science classes were, 7TZ and 7AL were first up to experience the show and the 70 experiments. The MASSIVE guy Shane and Samantha showed and hosted the show for us, The amazing thing was is that I got to have a photo with Megan Woods and she PUT HER ARM AROUND ME. It was amazing to have a photo with the parliament of Wigram, the first experiment was involving a ball fitting through a hoop at first with normal temperature the ball fell right through so it fitted. Then we tried dipping the hoop into liquid Nitrogen Shontell was picked out to help since she volunteered by putting her hand up really fast for safety she had to use safety glasses and some thick gloves. When Shane dipped the hoop into the Liquid Nitrogen a lot of smoke came out so he demonstrated how cold it was by gently blowing on the smoke, he told us the reason why we should use gloves it was because of it to cold that our hands would stick to the hoop. The second time Shontelle tried sliding the ball through the hoop it didn't go through it confused everyone he told us it was because all the molecules came together making the hoop smaller. and when it gets warm the molecules spread out making it bigger after that experiment. Shane went up with Samantha and showed us a sheet of galvanising steel and burned a hole through it with blow torch it was really cool, my favourite experiment was mostly all of them and I did them all with Skyler.

  1. Hey Rieya, it's Shontelle from Hornby High School. I like your blog post and I like the photos you used. I like the big blurb of sentences at the top. Next time you should watch where you put capital letters and full stops. Also next time put more interesting words in you blurb up the top.
