Science, Lab Safety

How to keep yourself safe:

  • Place bags under desks.
  • Do not run in the lab.
  • Do not use equipment immaturely.
  • Wear the proper gear.
  • If you have long hair tie it up - when doing an experiment.
  • Do not eat or drink in the lab.
  • Wear safety gear like safety glasses or gloves - when doing an experiment.
  • Wash your hands after handling chemicals.
  • Do not smell or inhale and especially taste the chemicals.
  • Don't play around with chemicals without the teacher's permission.
  • Dispose of lab waste properly - Broken Glass, Chemicals.


Safety:
To protects yourself from harm or dangers.

Hazardous:
When an object or place can be dangerous to you.

Meniscus:
The curves that are seen at the top of a liquid depending on the container.
