Waitangi Day!

On Tuesday the 5th of February I started to read an Article to teach me more about Waitangi day. In primary school, I learned about it and was not very serious about it, I completely forgot about it.

I don't know really know so much of Waitangi day but I guess Waitangi day is a very important day to New Zealand or Kiwi's themselves. But if there was no treaty my prediction is that probably we only made a treaty to not have a war but to hate each other by now. But thankfully to Hone Heke Pokai and William Hobson everyone is in peace. But before even the British came to NZ an English man named James Cook found our country New Zealand and just put it on the world map when he sailed back to his home he told every on to go check NZ out.

Every year on the 6th day of February it is Waitangi day it's not just an ordinary day of February it is one NZ's Holidays. Some people celebrate it and other people just take it as a day of work or school, some people got to churches and they sing and dance. I have learned so much stuff after reading articles of Waitangi day thanks to Miss Allan our wonderful teacher who cared about Waitangi day allowed us to learn more about a wonderful day in NZ.

How it all started is when a significant day was celebrated in New Zealand's history.

Why do people celebrate Waitangi day is because we want to celebrate how the day everyone come together.

What are things you can do on Waitangi day is that you can go to churches or actually have a road trip to Waitangi there are so many things you can do that can actually be so much fun.

Waitangi day is all celebrated on the 6th of February but the first day of Waitangi day was in the 1840s.

If you are wondering where Waitangi day would be holding it would most probably be held in Churches, Whares and much more.
