Crazy Crystals

Aim: To learn about a saturated solution and how to make crystals.

Borax

Materials:

1. Container
2. Spoon/ Stirring object
3. Paper
4. Pen
5. Borax
6. Pipes
7. Peg
8. Half a cup of Warm Liquids/ Water

Procedure:

Step 1: Grab a container/ cup

Step 2: Pour half a cup of warm liquids/water into the container then add one scoop of borax, - equivalent to 8 tablespoons  And mix it with a spoon.

Step 3: Get a pipe and shape it into a star to make a star you need three pipes

Step 4: Get a peg and clip the top tip of the star

Step 5: Put your peg into the Container/cup and it should be hanging into the borax water.

Sugar

Materials:

1. Container/Cup
2. Pen
3. Peg
4. Stirring utensil
5. Half a cup of Warm liquids/Water
6. Sugar
7. 1 pipe

Procedure:

Step 1: Grab a container/cup

Step 2: Place half a cup of sugar into the container/cup

Step 3: Pour half a cup of warm water into the cup or container

Step 4: Mix the sugar and water for how long it takes just to get the sugar to dissolve

Step 5: Then after the water and sugar are dissolve go and grab a pipe and peg.

Step 6 : When you have your pipe and your peg clip the pipe into the peg and put it into the top of the container and push it until it touch the water and the sugar.

Salt

Materials:

1. Peg
2. Salt
3. Half a cup of Warm Liquid/water
4. 3 tablespoons of salt
5. Cup
6. Stirring utensil
7. Pipe

Procedure:

Step 1: Grab a container/cup

Step 2: Place 3 tablespoons of sugar into the container/cup

Step 3: Pour half a cup of warm water into the cup or container

Step 4: Mix the salt and water with a spoon for how long it takes just to get the salt to dissolve

Step 5: Then after the water and salt has dissolved go and grab a pipe and peg.

Step 6 : When you have your pipe and your peg clip the pipe into the peg and put it into the top of the container and push it until it touches the water and the salt.
